Yes, it's definitely on!
As emailed to registered people:
---------------
Graeme Bassula has very kindly organised an FTO drag racing session on the
night of January 14th at Quit Motorplex... commonly known as "Whoop-Ass
Wednesday"!
Full details are available at https://ftowa.allanson.org/html/calendar.html, but
briefly (as stated on the Motorplex website)...
"Whoop Ass Wednesday Night Street Racing is just the thing for those wishing
to experience the thrill of Drag Racing without the pressure of competition.
All you need to compete is a licenced/muffled Street car or bike, a helmet
and long sleeves, long pants and enclosed footware. You can race your car
or bike as many times as you wish and you will find the staff on hand only
too willing to ensure that your first experience at Drag Racing is an
enjoyable one."
Cost will be $30.00 for as many runs as you like on the night. See the
'Events' page for spectator/family pricing.
This has been discussed for a couple of weeks on the Forum, so we have a few
likely attendees already. These are:
Vlad
Richard H
Graeme B
Peter T
Paul E
Leigh B
If you would like to be added, please drop me an email. This list will be
updated regularly on the 'Events' page at www.ftowa.com.
So come on down to the 'plex, line up against your fellow FTO drivers and
have a bit of good-natured fun.

Any more takers for this evening event?
We could do with a few additional people signing up...
Hell, the drags doesn't do anything for me, and *I'm* going! Amazing. So if any of you are undecided, why not take the plunge along with me and see what this driving-in-a-straight-line business is all about.... hehe.

Come on guys, out of 70 or so members to only get 6 or 7 showing up for an event like this would be a real shame.
Its all about bragging rights. ..Whos got the fastest FTO in the club
Vlad and elmo think they've got it in the bag and one of them 'probably has'. But who knows there might be a dark horse out there waiting to show them both up (and i don't mean me, i wish)
But seriously guys, it should be a lot of fun to race against one another, and who knows maybe we'll be able to show up a few of those old thumper V8's with some of our times ....Enjoy |

Just talked to John Clark (from MC Motorsport), and he will be joining us at the drags. Driving a nice 180SX.
He'll do a bit of quiet asking around and see if we can get some additional bods as well. Coz we're looking a little bit thin at present, hehe.

got a couple of minor problems to be fixed and back on the dyno again.
It is on the road but want to make a couple of modifications to the throttle body and reposition the stepper motor and get the shift light working.
Just got back from tokyo today so havent been able to work on it much over the last week
Hopefully will get it down the motorplex over the next few weeks and will post the timeslip then |
