Hi all.
It's about 5 weeks until the UK FTO Owners Club calendar competition closes. Seeing as we won a place in it last year, why don't we try again?
This time, we could briefly take over the top floor of a multi storey car park in the centre of Perth early one Saturday or Sunday morning, line up some FTOs and get a few pics with some real depth of field. Skyscrapers above and behind, a bit of a dropoff below (with some camera elevation) and a few good lookin' cars up close.
We should try for the 2nd or 3rd weekend in September, on a Saturday morning. We should also have a Plan B, in case it's a horrible rainy day. ie. try again the next morning.
So who's interested? Any additional thoughts? Chuck in a cruise for good measure?

Other suggestions:
a) South Perth foreshore with our city the eye catcher
b) The car park at Burswood Casino |

Fred!! Long time no see! Where have you been mate?
Graeme's been trying to find you, and had almost given up. Give him a call some time, hehe.

Late last year, a bunch of FTO owners descended upon the Australian Marine
Complex in Henderson for a group photo shoot. The best image from that day
was entered into the UK FTO Owners Club Calendar Competition... and we won a
place!
This year, we're going for a more challenging shot, but one with even
greater impact... a rooftop photo shoot atop a central Perth carpark, at
night!
The plan is to have a group of FTOs arrive at the location, make their way
to the top floor of the car park, and spend 90 minutes getting some shots
with the city skyscrapers in the background. Franz will once again be
providing his services, and intends to go for a long exposure shot from an
elevated position.
We've cleared this with Wilson Parking, who are happy for us to use their
property in this manner. They were very helpful, even going so far as to
discuss the merits of different views from various Wilson car parks.

Thanks everyone for making last night's photo shoot run like clockwork!
It was good to catch up with old mates, and meet some new faces!
Our timing was perfect... as I pulled out of the exit at 9:55pm, a sprinkle of rain began.
Cheers to Pete C, Darren, Peter T, Kenny, Paul, Leigh and Vlad... and a big thanks to Franz for the lens and positioning work.
We'll have to think about how we can top this one when it's time to enter the 2006 FTOOC Calendar Comp!!!
