Greetings, I am interested in getting a FTO and was hoping that somebody could tell me where the cheapest and best place to get a Veilside bodykit for it? I had a quote of around $1500 for the side skirts and front bar spoiler inclusive of fitting and painting. Thanks!

hey, where did you get that quote?
i also had a similar quote for the same kit, but sourcing the parts and fitting seperately...would not mind looking around at other workshop and comparing quality of work...

Thanks..maybe we can share some info on fitters and suppliers in perth, thanks..

Well, I sent an e mail to the person below asking for a quote inclusive of painting and fitting and he replied that it would cost $950.00 for the front bumper and $650.00 for the sides skirts. I have no indication of their workmanship, but they seem to specialise in such areas if their website is anything to go by (although FTO is not one of the usual cars). Where did you get your quote from? The person whom I got the quote from is:

Tristan Mackay
The Spoiler Shop
Unit 4/70 Norma Road
Myaree 6154 WA
Ph: 9317 1988

Just last week, I saw an FTO on the Freeway with "Spoiler Shop" signage emblazoned all over... So that's a good sign! Smile

i can get the vielside kits from suppliers which i know for about $1200...thats the whole kit, i mean front bar, side skirts, bumper and i think spoiler also...u are only getting half a kit..

however my price is not inclusive of fitting and painting..

but spoiler shop seems to have done pretty good jobs, however the are more pricier than most other body works shops..

Am going to check out the prices while I'm in Malaysia for my summer hols...my relative has some connections here and may be able to get it shipped to Perth at a discounted price, but it's all still quite iffy.

Hey, got another quote, this time from Carmate, the person quoted $850 for front bar and side skirts inclusive of freight charges. Fitting, painting seperate. Does anybody know if it is legal to put on this bodykit in WA? Any problems?

they are all good prices we have to pay 2800 before tax Shocked in the UK for an official VS kit. There are alot of people that do copies over here so you can get them cheaper. VS kits are notoriously hardwork to fit though so labour costs could be through the roof.

you may be better getting a BS nosecone as they are really good looking and easy to fit. I think we pay around 300 for one of them instead of the 900 for a VS.

Check out the UK owners club forum for more details.

Ah, haven't been around for a while so I figured that I'd just add my 2c into this discussion seeing as I've been exploring the options myself.

I was quoted $2500 for VS front bar / side skirts / rear bar from The Spoiler Shop - fitted and painted.

Carmate sent me a quote for the same items (not fitted or painted obviously) and it came to $1100 (not including shipping - $180 - or insurance - $100). I'll get back once I get a quote on fitting and painting from somewhere reputable if anyone's interested.

Oh, Carmate also do a pretty nifty-looking facelift carbon bonnet for $1100 if anyone feels like taking a risk with one. Razz
