The only thing stopping my from buying an FTO right now is the insurance . the cheapest quote is 2100 from just cars . RAC wont even insure it..........and i am only 20.....so this is a major bummer.....i'll just go for a stupid lancer if i still cant find a good insurance

If you have an existing MV insurance, they may sign you up a premium.

I was with Western QBE b4 I bought my FTO and they insured me for it.

$2100, seems pretty expensive...but still quite reasonable..

a hint is to go with an insurance brokers with these import cars..they usually can find u some pretty good cheap deals without u having to run around so much...

i had a comprehensive insurance policy on my nissan skyline before this FTO, it was turbo and had some work done to it, and they only quoted me $1890 a year for it....and i am only 21...lol

so have a look around, dun give up hope yet...and hopefuly u will get a FTO soon, they are such good cars...wicked looking cars...

my old insurance broker was EBM insurance brokers...
look them up, maybe they might be able to help you there...

i am 18, drive 15,000$ fto and i only got third party insurance (means i gotta be too careful). still on "p"'s. just got my 18" wheels too. =)

I paid my first year of insurance with Just Cars. They gave me a rating one 60% NCB when I had never had insurance in my name before, so they were half the cost of most the other companies. Ended up being $1060 full comp.

HBF Fully Comp, 26 yrs old, insured for about 25k agreed value, about $890/year

You guys think its bad in OZ... Here in the UK, I drive a 1991 BMW 316i, worth about 2300 pounds ($5500). Companies over here refused to honor my full Aussie NCB and I pay the equiv of about $2400 per year for fully comp.
