Dear All

Stupid question number 99. I have recently bought an FTO but am unsure of exactly what model as stuff like that in malaysia just doesn't work. Need to determine exactly what model as have to change the dreaded timing belt in 4K. The chassis number is DE3A - 0021871, 1995, 4 speed auto, with mivec written all over the engine and rear spoiler. It also says version r on the rear spolier but that could be aftermarket?

Any help gratefully accepted. Lonesome Mayalsian FTO fan

the oil filler cap is on the the drivers side of the engine on the mivec engine and for the non mivec engine the oil filler cap is on the passenger side of the engine

Cheers for this. Filler is on the drivers side of the engine but there are still several different models which use the mivec engine?

I've plugged that chassis number into my Mitsubishi CAPS program (old dealer stylee parts lookup), and here is what it says...

Classification: HRGH
Exterior: T88C
Build date: 1995.05.3

That "HRGH" code can be decoded as...

Body shape spec: H= 2 door coupe

Gear box type: R= 4 speed Tip-Auto, Y= 5 speed Tip-Auto, N = 5 speed Manual

Equipment usage info: U = GS, H = GR, G = GPX, F = GP

Engine spec level: E = 4G93 1.8 16v with electronic fuel injection, M = 6A12 DOHC V6 with Electronic fuel injection, H = 6A12 MIVEC Engine DOHC V6 with Electronic fuel injection and MIVEC

So it's a GPX... with a 6A12 MIVEC engine.

And your paint code, T88C, is "Moonlight Blue".

Hope this helps!

Apparently, it's MD211195 or MD313673.

But please double-check when you order it!!!
