11 days and not one reply ???
You probably have already bought one by now but if not....
The GPVR has the same engine as the GPX both being 200bhp mivec engines but the GPVR is slightly faster due to it being lighter. Achieved by not having auto climate control or electric folding mirrors, there may be more differences but i'm not sure.
Or you may be refering to the GR which is a non mivec engine that comes in 170bhp and 180bhp when the model was changed slightly in 1997. The changes were Face lift front bumper, 10bhp extra and HID lights, again there are probably more changes but not to sure
Your best bet is to join the UK owners club www.ftooc.org where you will find an answer to almost any question asked, FTO related or not they are a great bunch and the advise is always good. |

So Outlaw did you buy an FTO? amd if you did which one was it? GR or GPvR. As J Shakey said, the GPX and GPvR are basically same car but with all the heavy junk (!) stripped out to make it a lot lighter.
Love your pics on the FTOOC (UK) calendar guys (and gals )

I'd expect to pay more for the GPvR than a GPX, for sure.
