| hi can anyone help me. i was driving today when my tip wouldnt change gear and i got the flashing N. i pulled over and stopped for 10 mins then all was well again but on my way home the gearbox just doesnt feel right. its not as smooth and sometimes when changing down to 3rd it took about 5 secs to go into gear and its a very rough change. also sometimes when i come to a stop then release the brake to set off again the car is not in gear so i tap the throttle and then it jurks into gear which cant be good. its done that every now and then since i got the car 4 months ago so im wondering if this has damaged the gearbox. i have checked for the error codes and it comes up with error 62 although the 'N' flashes when getting the code, i dont know if this is normal or not. |

Been tracking your post on this in the UK FTOOC forum. Well done on sorting the intake air control valve issue.
I can't help much when it comes to tip boxes - my FTO is a manual. However, my wife's Magna AWD has one of those INVECS stylee boxes in it. It scares me.
When was the fluid last changed? And was it the exact right stuff Mitsubishi recommend for those tip boxes? They are quite picky, apparently. If you only got it 4 months ago and you haven't serviced the transmission, perhaps take it in for a fluid change... just to be on the safe side.
