We need some FTO's i dont think i have seen 1 one any of our cruises so,

Come one, Come all

The map has been written, its a good mix of coastal suburbia, light industrial and a touch of the foothills. We are departing from a to be announced location south of the river closer to the date.

Time and Date: 8.15pm the 20th November 2004.

The map is about 120km and has 2 stops with food and 1 stop with Fuel, so please have some in the tank to start with.

Please bring you CBs (channel 16) and leave the Hoon within at home.

you front wheelers should love the twisty twisty roads that we have found.

Yeah, it's got real quiet on here in recent months! Everybody got busy...

...and speaking of being busy, that cruise date is my wife's birthday!! So I'm not able to come this time.

Seems to be the way of 2004. Perhaps 2005 will be a little easier! Smile

Yeah real busy.. I haven't really had much time to focus on my car.
But I still do enjoy giving it a few revs now and then. Razz

But good to know you're still around Rich. How's the current MC season
going? Not sure if you're racing in a team or not.
I hear everyone competing is now running r-comps. Razz

The track driving is going great for me right now! Smile

I passed on joining a team this July-to-December season, and decided to just get back to driving the nuts off the car for fun.

Unfortunately, I started out with a six-week break from any performance driving, which resulted in me being seriously crap when I got back into it.

So I've been in intensive "rehab" mode for a few months now, with the usual practice days, 1-on-1 sessions every other Friday, and the individual comp days when they come up... and I'm having a blast again. Very Happy

The last 1-on-1 training session was a 45 minute sideways driving extravaganza. My old r-comps were basically dead, and I was planning on going straight from the AHG Driving Centre to the tyre shop to get new ones. So any rubber left on the old Toyos would be a waste!!!!

Towards the end of the session, I was pitching the car hard left at 80km/h, and JC was yanking on the handbrake. Full opposite lock, correct it, enter corner, then another stab of handbrake, and apply power! Straighten up as the car flips the other way, then slides sideways (hello four-wheel drift), before powering out going the other way.

After 45 minutes of this, there were decent areas of bare metal on the old tyres! Shocked

I'm now on new Yokahama A032R. They are just one session old, and starting to get grippy. Can't wait to see what they are like after I've really worn them in.

So... are your palms sweaty yet? Want me to arrange an FTO MC Motorsport training day? Wink

hehehe.. yeah sweaty palms and the memories of burning rubber Smile

Sounds like you're having great fun.. I had no idea a FWD car could get into a 4 wheel drift. Shocked

Attending the next FTO MC day would be worth it just to see you do this.
Very Happy
