Hi,

I think I may have a problem with my FTO (GP Version R) 1997. There seems to be an excessive amount of smoke coming from the exhaust, no warning lights on the dash though.
There arent really large clouds of smoke just more than I'm used to and when I stop and turn the engine off the exhaust carries on smoking for a minute or two.
Any ideas what could be wrong?? (Please don't scare me unnecessarily)

Thanks
James

Okay, I won't scare you.

Get thee to an FTO-aware garage!

If you're in Perth, ring Malcolm Crockenberg (Crockenberg Motors) on 9358 0302. Jeez, Mal should pay me for advertising the number of times I've said that! Smile

He's got heaps of Mitsubishi/RalliArt experience, and doesn't b.s. anyone.

Thats a bit of a problem as I'm in the UK Very Happy should have said really.
I am emigrating to Perth later this year, but I will be selling my FTO before I come.
I don't trust any of the garages around here so I just wanted a general idea what could be wrong so I don't get ripped off.
It looks like there's a lot of oil in the exhaust thats making it smoke when I've stop.

Any help is most appreciated.

Ask around on the UK FTO Owners Club forum...

...and see if anyone can recommend a garage close(ish) to you!
