like the title says, i've never seen one. I live pretty close to washington DC and love the look of the fto. Are they not legal here or something? also, what's the average price of one now?

thanks a lot!

Hi Kyle. The FTO was never sold outside of Japan as far as I know (though I have heard rumors it was sold in New Zealand for a while). FTOs everywhere else in the world are imported as grey imports privately or through companies that specialize in importing Jap cars.

As for why no one has brought them into the US, who knows? I have heard of a couple of guys over there who have imported them privately, but other than that I guess no one over there is interested in them, or alternatively, the Eclipse is sort of the FTO of North America really, and seeings as everyone likes those no companies bothered to start importing them? Also they are right hand drive only cars, so maybe no one can be bothered importing them for this reason?

It's not made anymore so you can't pick one up new, however you could probably pick up a lateish model in auction is japan for no more than maybe $8000, but you'd have to add shipping, customs, tax etc?
