| are there any merchandise for this club, like FTOWA stickers? cuz i wouldnt mind some on my car. |

We did have some, yes. But then we stuck 'em all to our cars! 
Is there interest in getting some more? If so, I'd be happy to organise it.
A simple, smallish, white "www.ftowa.com" would do me. Any differing preferences out there? Note: If you want a metre-wide, glow-in-the-dark monstrosity, you're on your own! hehe.

lol... It's not as if we're a formal body. No articles of association, no legally recognised "club" body, no committee, president, fuhrer, Grand Poo-bah or anything. And no club shop.
Any merchandise will come from a grass-roots desire to have some. So... if that's what eventuates here and now, we'll have us some merchandise! 
I guess the question is, therefore, what would you like to have?
Me, I'd put the following on my list...
- A red & black Mitsy/RalliArt style rally jacket, with a bloody great FTO logo on the back, and the odd "FTO Drivers Club, Westerna Australia" motif on the front, and maybe a Mitsy logo or two for good measure.
- Some decent club stickers for the car. Web address would be useful.
- Key rings. Actually, I tend to dislike such things. If you leave your keys somewhere, it's an advertisement to any dodgy character who picks them up, telling them exactly which car in the carpark is theirs for the taking.
- Large poster size print of our winning calendar image.
Note that I still have six or seven 2005 "UK FTO Owners Club" calendars left if you would like one. They are $15 (cost price, no markup of course!), and have US on the front cover, and on the November picture. I'd be happy to distribute them... they deserve to be on peoples' walls, as they look very nice indeed!
If you would like anything else, please shout. If you know of any companies/contacts that can get us such merchandise at a discount rate, please shout. I can also put a 'news' item up on the main page of www.ftowa.com regarding an EOI for merchandise.
Above all, realise that the people who will organise this sort of thing is... us.

I would like a giiiiirls shirt  just cuz not many would have them. I am not really a fan of putting stickers on my car, but a small one would be ok. I do artwork and design stuff if that may come in handy for youz and i also work at a printer |

A small sticker, or a small girls shirt??
And yes, this forum is the quietest corner of the FTO world!! The www.ftoaustralia.com forum is like one of those Wild West saloon bar brawls sometimes, and www.ftooc.org is so full they have to shut non-members out after 16 posts. I guess this place is the chillout room! Perhaps Perth people are just naturally more laid-back! NOI to our fellow FTO communities, hehe.

it is a bit quiet arounf here that is for sure....
I guess with the FTO being NA and FWD it doesnt appeal to a lot of ppl that like to mod there cars here in WA with the trend being a fulli sik silvia or skyline... both great cars.. but hey I tink I would prefer the FTO too.. if I didnt like my euro stuff so much.. 
ppl need to start talking about there projects more!..
a forum wont just start getting exciting.. it needs ppl to post and then more ppl post and has a rolling effect.. so to get this place happening..

ok hows this on saturday afternoon i crashed my fto on the kwinana freeway into the back of what i think was an old corolla sedan that out of no where slowed down to around 40ks because someone ~2 cars in front of her wanted to do a u-turn ~1k sth of the armadale exit where theres a gravel road joining both directions and a big sign saying no u-turn..  and the road was damp..  and my car doesnt have abs 
the fibreglass bumper snapped around the middle, the radiator is leaning back on an angle (top touching the engine - dont know if theres engine damage because...), bonnet wedged shut with a sporty 90 deg angle in the middle (bonnet release lever was no use in case ur wondering), left head light smashed to pieces, right headlight chipped a bit, right blinker on the ground where i stopped, and the left blinker was found under the left front wheel buried in the dirt
the car is fully insured with just car insurance, tho the excess i have to pay now once the car and the car i hit is fixed comes to a nice $1900, and the 1200+ premium per year goes up of course because of the loss of the no claim bonus
on the positive side though, uh, new panels?  |

I live quite near there... near Berrigan Dr exit.
It sounds like you got away lightly. Could have been very, very nasty indeed - at freeway speeds, on roads as slippery as they were on Saturday. If you got out of the car with about the same number of arms and legs that you had when you got in, life could be a lot worse!

actually it wasnt that bad because the speed difference was only about 30k's.. and the driver in front wasnt on the brakes at the time. so it would have cushioned the impact alot more
but its still baad
i had a large 17" crt computer monitor in the front seat (that i thought was really secure because of the weight) that jumped out and hit the dash from the sudden g's. more of a knock because it rested between the dash and the seat afterwards, but still a big jump hehe
its been 3 days and im missing the car already |
