For my monthly blasts around (and over) the traffic cones, I've borrowed a spare pair of stock GPX rims and have put balding old tyres on 'em. These go on the front, as that's where all the rubber-destroying action is. Smile

Unfortunately, I just shaved the last molecules of black stuff off the old Pirelli P7000 tyres I was using - might have had something to do with a long brake lock-up slide on Sunday! They are no longer usable. Sob.

So... Has anybody got any old, hard, at-or-below-minimum-legal-tread-depth rubber kicking around in the back shed?

Preferably...

- Decent brand, just too worn for legal road use.
- No collision damage.

These would be the stock 205/50/R16 size.

I would of course be delighted to pay for removing the tyres from any rims they may currently be on (for those of you who traded up to nicer alloys and tyres in the past), and returning said rims straight back to you.

Thanks very much!

- Rich

ummmm I may be able to help you out.

My factory mags on the calibra are 205/50/16

2 of em have below legal tread pirelli Pzeros and I would say you are welcome to them.

The other 2 wheels however have close to brand new Grid II's on them and because of the 4x4 system I cant use them on my car so they are upfor sale too I guess..

with the grid II's I would say make me an offer coz I dont know what they are worth.. but from memory are fairly pricy!

cheers
