hi, just bouoght a fto. have been looking round for general service parts but am having a little trouble finding em.
any info on finding the following parts would be a great help.
1. oil filter
2. air filter
3. spark plugs (numbers more than where to get em)
4. air con and alt belts
5 fuel filter

any help or part numbers would be great

Repco seem to have everything these days... so it shouldn't be a problem.

1. Oil filter is Ryco Z411.

2. Air filter. Dunno - I bought a K&N years ago, because I was sick of shelling out so often for the standard one! Smile

3. Plugs:

NGK PFR7M (front)
NGK BKR7EIX (rear)

(Note: I got these off other forum postings - please confirm they are correct before shelling out your hard-earned)

4. alternator belt: Mitsy part number MD184973.
power steering belt? Mitsy part number MD318667.

These were looked up via a Mitsubishi parts program, using my '95 GPX chassis code as the vehicle in question. Double check that they are suitable for your vehicle. For example... other years/models had variations in power steering belt numbers. MD321692 & MD340589 were the other two codes listed - no clue why.

5. Fuel filter is Ryco Z441.

PFR7M are Platinum plugs and im pretty sure they go in the back bank as they last longer.
I just brought 6 platinums to put in all 6.

hey paul, where did you get the plugs from? as i was told they were special order only!
is there any reason why you cant use the same plugs for the rear, apart from not having to change them as often?

Kris,

I got mine from a friend over east that did a small group buy on them.
But Repco has them.

I am using NGK PFR7M for all 6 which is the platinum ones and they will last about 80,000 kilometers.

The reason why they use better plugs for the back is because they are a bitch to get to so you dont want to be doing them every 10,000 ks.

There's a "special projects" section on the UK FTO Owners Club website with their test result of various different filters. Unfortunately, it looks like they have changed their site around, and the filter review page link is no longer correct. Sad

You can find it using www.archive.org though. Just enter this into the 'Wayback' address:

If it helps, I had a big fool around with the factory airbox, airflow, etc. Article about it all here:

This was the flipside to the air filter question - the one thing I didn't change was the air filter itself... I just reworked everything around it. There was a K&N panel filter in the airbox throughout.
