whilst my car is in for a major service, my friend told me he would clean the adjustment screw while cleaning the throttle body, he said most mechanics just do the throttle body and not the screw.. He said it was covered in caked-on crud. we took for a test drive to blow out the cleaner and noticed the idle was now running at 1500! so it must of had the idle turned up a bit to compensate. now the car sounds and runs so much smoother and consitant, it seemed the bottom end torque has been increase alot! it pulled so much harder!

Funny thing was a Cefio and an MR2 thought we were trying to race, but i didnt even realise they where trying to race until we slowed down... heh.

I'd have thought cleaning the idle screw would only effect the idle and not any other open throttle performance
