No traction, mostly!
Couldn't get better than 15.2 this time. Pathetic, hehe.

I was surprised at the difference the slippery diff made to the feel of the launch. Whereas I'd expected it to be easier to hook up, I ended up having difficulty telling if I had one wheel hooked up or two.
With the dodgy old open diff, it was easy. If you were free-revving and not going anywhere, you'd screwed it up and needed to act quickly, back off the throttle and get some traction.
With the LSD though, it was more challenging. One side would be driving me forward, I'd be accelerating, the revs would be rising along with my speed, but I was still (apparently) spinning the other wheel. I'd not really noticed that before. Need lots more time to get the hang of it.
But... seeing as I do sod-all quarter mile runs a year, I guess it's not surprising really!!

He has the Evo 3 LSD.
I thought you would get pretty good times with that and you got nice sticky tyres. |

im just thinkin why the wheels should both be spinning equally instead of one spinning slower or faster than the other but both getting power
maybe thats why cusco has 2 types of lsd.. rs and mz
http://www.cusco.co.jp/english/e_lsd.html
the mz is supposedly the drag edition which has better locking for both wheels on accel, compared to the rs which absorbs the initial take off torque with the springs... or something like that |

The cusco RS is the racing spec and costs about $200 more than the MZ.
I have the RS version and its suppose to lock both wheels when you press the acceleration. |

ah, ignore the above post.. says it all here.. http://www.driftworks.co.uk/forum/archive/index.php/t-1037.html
MZ is cheaper, but harsher and locks faster...but also cant go aslong between overhauls as the RS
still reckon the MZ might be the one to use for the strip though |
