After a lot of weighing up of options we've decided to try and relocate to Australia, Perth to be more precise. Hopefully early next year as long as there are no problems getting a visa.
So I'm after a bit of advice really.
I work in I.T back here doing general Network admin/support stuff. can anyone suggest any websites to find jobs.
plus any other advice on places to look for houses would be welcomed.
I'll be coming over later this year to sort the above.

Not that long, but the freeway to Perth will be jammed with all the pommie expats driving from Rockingham!
What is it with poms and Rockingham?? Will someone please tell me! hehe.

Poms like the beach and the one down at rockingham looks nice  add to that the house prices are cheaper down there and it's like a mecca for us  |

The train line should be down as far as Rocky sometime in 2007 so commuting will be much quicker, they where busy on with it Jan/Feb when I visited

HI Mate!
Only just seen your thread - great to hear you're coming over to Perf.
The best thing we ever did for sure, and great for the kids too.
We still feel like we're on holiday, although we're both working now.
We live in Port Kennedy which is just South of Rockingham and it's just beautiful here. None of the stress we used to have in the UK. I'm sure Buzz has filled you in! (BTW hi Buzz!)
Obviously we've ben through the whole migraton process with the car so probably best to PM about that.
When are you coming out? Tony & I would be happy to show you round the area.
Perth is (realistically!) 45 minutes from Rocky and it's an easy drive compared to the M25. The train line should be in place by March next year, all being well.
Property is going up in price very fast at the moment, Tony is in reale estate (not sales tho') so can give you plenty of info about prices and areas to look at.

I've sent Tony a PM regarding the car, but I'm beggining to think selling before we go and buying a new car there is the best option.
hopefully we'll coming out in November for a couple of weeks but I still need to make sure work will let me have the time off  |

Great to see more people are waking up to how wonderful Perth really is.
I am from Wales and live in Kardinya area. I spent many years in Rockingham as 14-21yr old. It's a nice area and housing is getting more expensive but still affordable. My cousin is is moving here also with his family end of this month, and they will be looking to live in Rockingham also.
Seen your car and pics on net in various things. It's nice, but my advice to you would be to sell it and buy something over here in Perth. The costs involved are just not worth it. Even for a nice car like yours.
I would go as far as to say sell everything up and buy it all here. You can get furniture etc cheap here and even a great range of second-hand items to help your wallet. Those containers just arent worth it.
