Hey guys
Haven't being on this site 4 ages.
Anyways, I finally got my car past the pits and it's nearly registered.
As most of u know, i needed a bonnet to pass the pits. I searched high and low and even considered selling the Fibre Glass bonnet . But after even more searching, i called Mitsubishi Australia. They first told me they couldn't help me but would contact other Mitsubishi companies around Australia. Couple days later and i recieved the best phone call in a while . They told me there was a company which custom-makes them in Adelaide. They quoted me around $750 and i wasn't too fussy about the price (since it's brand new) but unfortunately not painted. It took 3 working days (Friday-Wednesday) to arrive (bloody quick). My uncle picked it up and one of my cousins put it in. When i came home (from school) i was happily surprised to see that instead of a dull grey coulered bonnet, it was a nice and shiney black coulered one .
Last week my sister took the car to Warwick to get it checked out. The car went through fine except for a permit required for the air filter and they were unsure about the GT wing. The bad thing was the $900+ Gov stamp duty which needs to be paid .
All i have to do now is pay the stupid stamp duty and my car is road worthy.
So see you guys soon and can't wait for the photo shoot

Good stuff! Glad to hear.
They probably won't pass it with a GT wing on it from what I've heard... something about it being all sharp and slashy. or "not following the original lines of the vehicle"...
...but that's easy to solve, isn't it??? 5 minutes and a spanner, hehe.
If it'll be on the road by October 4th, then that means it'll be ready for the FTO day at MC Motorsport on October 19th! Let me know if you want to reserve a place. Then you can test out your new toy in controlled conditions...

Nah it passed, he wasn't sure that's all. Lucky he didn't check the brake lines.
I'll make the cruise, not sure about the mc though but i really want to go. |
