Hey crew, over the past few months, I had a real shitty exeriance with my car. what had happened is a close friend of mine has a family friend who is a mechanic. I had gone over to his workshop a few times with my mate and talked and he seemed alright, and also he was my mates family friend so I didnt think twice. anyway I got him to do some work on my car and he did this real shit job. infact he drilled screws into my strut brace for something!!??

later my mates mother's car was in getting seat covers on or something, then while she was driving it, through an intersection, the car conks out...

we take it to another garage and found out, the guy had actually disconnected the alternator , taped up the ends, and plaged it back in, so she could bring it back to him to get "fixed".

long story short(ened), they think, with me too, that this guy is a real prick, and both of us is taking him to court.

my other mate who is just an apprentice mechanic felt really sorry for the crap I went through and we have designed up a plan for my car called "operation redemption"

first stage was to rip all this shit out of my car and get a properly made up induction pipe and filter. I went to genie and they custom made me a 3 inch mandrel bent pipe that goes right down to my fog light. they even made a bracket with rubber so it is a 1 bolt installation that is damn solid with enough flex for the engine torque!

We then got and tested to fit the biggest K and N filter I could and resulted in the removeal of the foglight and an incident with the light bracket and angle grinder Razz

I will mesh it up later for police reasons. but for now its fine.

I gave 'the hawk' a good thrash and felt the top pipe.... burning!!
then felt the lower pod part... ICY!

I used to had the RPW set up with was... alright... sounded better then the original but gave marginal performance gain.

This set up... WOW! my aprentice mechanic friend was really suprised with how much gain I got, but its had a HUGE gain across the whole power band, especially the midrange. everyone who has been in it has said it pulls a whole lot more!

and the sound... man it sounds like a supercar now. even when im driving normally everytime I hit the pedal is gives of this massive induction suck, people think its a blowoff valve or something.

but I'm definatly hitting the drags with you guys now just to see how much its improved!

so much so as i reckon I could knock at least half a second off my times!

after a few years of flirting with a turbo conversion or engine swap.. ive decided to be a purist and crank this 2liter - 6!

stage 2 is gonna be the extractors and fuel pump rev limiter bump.

stage 3 is going to look into bigger cams/valves and the rest.

im happy again!

Are you gonna come along to MC's on the 11th and give it a burn? I'd love to hear it now... hehe.
