The current bookings (16/6) are as follows...
14 drivers:
Mal Crockenberg
Mark A
Craig J
Craig M
Richard H
Danny (ftoltd)
Graeme (BASSULA)
Fred
Zan
Zan's mate with Teg-R
Peter C
Matthew R
Mark N
Darren N
...including Graeme. I did suggest to Faye that she should definitely get on out there in the FTO if the Calibra wasn't ready. Why don't we leave that booking as-is, and see what happens!
Mark, if Graeme's car doesn't make it back to the land of the living, and if Faye's not too keen on a little track action, then we may only know a few days before. Is your prospective driver okay with that?

Mal Crockenberg just rang to let us know he can't join us on the day.
It's his wife's birthday the day before, and she's put the hard word on him that (for once) it's gotta be a non-motorsport-oriented weekend, hehe.
So we've a spare slot! Who wants it?

Would you believe I've had THREE people just cancel because they are planning on having an uber-hangover after Friday night???
My life seems so tame now... I can nearly always find the door to my bedroom these days, and can hop in a car without ever having to count my fingers! Must be the whole 'dad' thing...!
So we have three spots available all of a sudden!
Do we have any takers?

I might get my old man along maybe.. He could share my car, but i dont know if he would want to spend the cash on it.

Mailed to all Perth registered drivers:
-------------------------------------------
Only a few days to go before the FTO Drivers Club hits the tarmac at MC
Motorsport! There is a flyer available for download giving times,
directions, things-to-bring and so on. Get it here:
https://ftowa.allanson.org/docs/FTO_MCM_JUNE28.doc
We have had a few last-minute booking cancellations. Currently we have 11
drivers booked for this event, which means the per-head cost is still below
the magic $100 mark.
Ideally, we would like three more participants! If you would like to come
along on Saturday and practice some vehicle control skills in a safe and fun
environment, please let me know! It's a great opportunity to practice a bit
of threshold braking, cornering technique and general smoothness. Or you
can drive over all the orange traffic cones like I do!
The day will start off with the basic "slalom" challenge. After this, we'll
be looking to run one or two of the more complex courses (such as "Challenge
twisty bits. Good fun! Don't worry too much about getting the course
wrong - I tried "Challenge #6" for the first time on my last day out at MC
Motorsport, and had an absolute ball going the wrong way!! Plus, for some
unknown reason, people seem to get the more complex ones correct and the
simple ones wrong...
Of course, if any participants are obsessive enough to want some advance
planning time, let me know and I'll draw up a (very bad) representation of
this course and post it!
Spectators are welcome. Just park non-participating vehicles on the far
side of the carpark, on the white area. This will keep the staging area
clear. So even if you're not driving, come along and support your fellow
drivers as they try to keep the front bit of the car pointing forwards! See
what all the fuss is about...
As usual, if you have any questions at all, please get in touch.
Cheers,
- Rich

Thank you very much to everyone for a great morning!
That dodgy weather had me thinking it was going to be a washout, but you lot certainly turned it into a positive.
We should sell FTO Brand Handbrake Tape, I reckon!
