Vlad nice car.. I remember that 1 comming up thru geoff risby was fairly cheap too from what I remember.

and as for the MC day.. simple answer.. DEALER PLATES!!! or a permit.. hehe or does the car have to be road registered??

ye it has 2 be road registered!

ps the 1st total was $17 800 but i had 2 transport it here (nearly $1000) then all the other costs came up 2 $22 000 plus warranty (another $1 000) and offcoarse insurance ($1 500 pa)

I also have to fix the dvd (convert it from ntsc to pal), convert the radio tuner and fix the holes from the old spoiler.

So not very cheap at the end, but still worth it

bugger ay.. altho I'm sure I ahev seen some cars at MC with dealer plates on.. ahh well..

GEEZZZ thats a bit different to teh 17500 that it was sent to teh mailing list with.. surely his estimates cant be that far out or was tehre extensive modifications to be done??

and whats happening with the car, was it not complied in time or you just waiting ont he plate?? coz the deadline was the 8th on may wasnt it??
coz as far asI was aware you could not get plates after the 8th of may.. could be wrong tho.

the estimate is just getting the car here and being complied, anything after that is your responsibility.

The car is complied but isnt REGISTERED. Because its the first time its being registered in Australia, it must go through the pits and passing the pits is no easy job.

My car got the compliance plates a week before the deadline.

ahh k thats all goood then.. would hate to see such a nice car not meet the compliance dead line..

what did the pits pick you up on?? by the sounds of it you have a lot to rectify if it aint gonna be registered by the mc day..

quite alot of stuff actually. but they are very tiny things.

*too low (i have adjustables Wink

)
*washers= too shiny (what the?)
*wheel loose (tighten it)
*immobiliser (getting it next week)
*flexible brake line (get that checked)
*exhaust leak (check that aswell)
*get permits for air filter and piping, suspension
*check if bonnet is legal (hope it is)

thats why i told Richard that i cant make it.

that aint too bad for such a modified car..

it will also depend on which pits you take it too.. It is well known that welshpool are fairly leanient.. Rollaboyz recently ran a info session with 1 of the guys from the pits and from what he was saying your bonnet is perfectly legal!!

as for the other stuf.. seems fairly easy.. just a time thing and on some parts money!

Do i have to change my suspension (cause that aint going 2 be easy)?

I take it that you are out in woop woop then.. Laughing

it is usually easier in the city too..

with the suspension they can say that it is too stiff but if you have adjustable dampers then it should be easy to change just wind the dampers to more soft.. unless you have tein dampers then its a matter of turning it to less hard.. hehe

as for immobiliser etc if you would like I may be able to organise 1 cheaper for ya if you want a full alarm etc..

ye i have bleisten dampers so it wouldnt be too hard to adjust that.... or is it?

Actually we were going to get some one to install a immobiliser at home but if you have a nice alarm and immobiliser for around $200 (fitted) i would be very interested.

ahh not too far away at all then..

I'm in joondalup..

With the alarm I have a friend who has been fitting them for 14 years and is awesome at his work and does fit them after hours for friends etc too.. I'll ask him for a price for you on a complete alarm system but I think it might be a lil bit above $200 tho..

with the dampers it "should" just be a matter of using the provided allen keys to wind it up or down but have never done this b4 so dont really know.. Wink
