i am thinking of upgrading the headlight bulb for the fto GPX version..

anyone know what size it is...?
and also what is good?

right now have the standard one and its not that bright....would also look a lot better cause of the projector setting...

from what I remember I think they are a 9003 globe (I COULD BE WRONG THO!!)

there are various types of replacemnt globes out there so the choice is yours but I"m not too sure on who would carry the type that you are after..

Close, but no cigar!

Low beam globe type is HB4 (or "9006"). High beam is HB3 (or "9005").

You can buy these from Repco. Standard brightness ones, and "plus 30" should be available straight off the shelf, and they aren't expensive.


One thing you could try is the "HB3-to-HB4" conversion.

This involves converting the high-beam HB3 globe so it fits in the low-beam HB4 socket. As you said, the headlights are projector type, so a more powerful globe doesn't mash the illumination. It works well - I'm running converted HB3 globes right now.

This has been covered by a few FTO "how-to" websites. There was a good description for you on the FTO Australia forum...
