Can't recall, but if you use 4th gear in a stock FTO it will hit the 180km/h speed limiter before it hits redline. So your torque curve will be cut off at the knees.

3rd gear gets you to 8000rpm okay...

OK, I've found some figures for the GPX manual gear ratios
1st 3.583
2nd 1.529
3rd 1.379
4th 1.030
5th 0.820

Reverse 3.363

Based on these figures it is my belief that dyno runs carried out on 4th should yield a more accurate HP reading atw compared to 3rd gear, because 3rd gear provides a higher tractive effort on the rollers relative to the engine speed so it's not really a true indication of what sort of HP you are making at the wheels.

I know there is a 180km/h speed limiter but until you remove this feature, I doubt you will be able to get a true accuracy of HP reading on the dyno.

Please explain...

ie. How exactly does a dyno calculate HP at the wheels? How does gearing affect the calculation? etc.
