This is just with an exhaust and cold air intake mods my friend, Wade Turkich, designed for me . (also my exhaust had a rust hole in it which is getting fixed , so that could of hurt its performance.)
just as a note, my car had no weight removed, seats, panals etc. and also was on 3/4 tank of petrol.
next we are gonna get some more improvements done for a some better times. |

Leigh, chuck those figures in the relevant 'Events' thread I just added.
You might also want to contact Richard Batty in the UK, as he's tracking a 1/4 mile league for FTO results. Us Aussies should definitely be on there!

Yours will be the 2nd fastest non-Nitrous time on there, behind 'The Freak'. Which is excellent, seeing as that car apparently came from Japan with a different ratio 3rd gear, giving it some extra oomph at the drags.

Tried different stuff... between 3500 and 4500 though, I think.
That reaction time is haunting me. Coulda-woulda-shoulda!
Most ppl there were telling me that below 0.400 was disqualification, but the rules/display had changed. So now I'm looking at my ET of 15.211 and my reaction time of 0.371, doing subtractions and going "if-only", hehe.
Gotta leave something for next time, eh? It's a lot cheaper refining technique than making endless changes to the car! lol.

From what Marks is telling us, thats isn't exactly true Rich. Your reaction time doesn't affect your 1/4 mile time....It just might determine if you win or lose the race..
I think a beam is broken when you start the 1/4 mile and one when you finish it..The reaction time is just the time it took you to break that first beam.....Hey, but all this coming from a guy that didn't even make it to the start line....  |

Ah, but it doesn't stop me doing a bit of wishful thinking, does it?

they made one for the 1.6 mivec.........so it shouldn't be a problem doing this to a fto!
