I just got my car's clutch changed.......when Dave from RPW shocked me, when he found out that the flywheel was actually a carbon steel number
It was a bit pricey but was lucky that the flywheel was saved. |

Had a dyno comp yesterday.
Result was:
137.2 HP atw (around 110 kw atw)
I wasn't too upset by the result but there were 2 factors which were the blame;
1. It was ran on 4th gear (180km/hr speed limit)
2. Many people said it was a lot less than what they got last time eg one person got 137 hp atw last dyno comp and only managed 107 this time around.
Going to have another try on the 8th of next month to see what i get on a different dyno |

To convert from bhp to kilowatts you multiply by 0.7457... isn't it?
So wouldn't 137.2 bhp work out at 102.3kw ?

as for your car i agree that you could hear you speed limit or some form of limiter cutting in when they were near your top rev range so that did affect your figure somewhat |

You need to make sure a dyno center does the run in 3rd gear. Do i tin 4th and you hit the fuel cut before engine hits max power.

This is a link which shows the power she has and the parts aswell;
http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/520309/2
She told me she wasn't happy with the result she got.
I'll make sure the next dyno is gonna be in 3rd gear.
137hp atw is around 103kw atw (which is around 147kw at the flywheel), thanx Rich. |

UPDATE:
Just bought and fitted an Apexi Rev/speed meter.
They are absolute sweet machines and i love testing it out
So far my best times are:
0-100= 6.7 (big wheelspin)
0-400m= 14.99
I'm getting the G sensor attachment soon so i can measure my Horsepower. I know they arent the most acurate things but atleast i can get a figure to go on. |

I cant
it's too close to Pas (perth auto salon). My car is already entered.
If it was a later date. it would have been good. |

So, let's make the drag night a week or two later then!
Nobody has stuck their hand up to say they are definitely coming on Wed 27th, so as far as I'm concerned that makes a date change 100% fair game, hehe.
I haven't managed to get old of Leigh, Pete C has a stepper motor fault keeping his car off the road, John C may be all "driven out" by the time Wednesday comes around (occupational hazard when earning a living via a motorsport job) and you're otherwise engaged.
Seeing as Motorplex runs this evening every weekend until May (!), it's pretty easy to be flexible.

somebody please refresh me, what are the gear ratios on the GPX (manual)?
as far as I know, dyno runs should be done in the closest gear in relation to the engine speed (1:1).
if i remember correctly, i thik mine was done in 4th gear (?)
and yes, 137hp equates to 102kw - not 110kw  |
